
The County Government of Makueni, through the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Cooperative Development, is set to host the Makueni Agricultural Show and Trade Fair 2026 from 16th to 18th July 2026 at the Makindu Show Ground. The three-day event will be held under the theme "Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth," highlighting the county's commitment to modern, resilient and sustainable farming practices.
The exhibition is expected to bring together farmers, agribusinesses, cooperatives, government agencies, financial institutions, researchers, innovators and development partners to showcase the latest agricultural technologies, livestock innovations, climate-smart farming solutions and trade opportunities. Visitors will have an opportunity to learn about improved crop production, livestock management, agribusiness development, value addition and market access, while interacting directly with experts in the agricultural sector.

According to the event announcement, exhibitor charges have been set at KSh 10,000 for large exhibition spaces and KSh 5,000 for small exhibition spaces. The deadline for exhibitor registration is 10th July 2026. Members of the public will pay an entrance fee of KSh 100 for adults and KSh 50 for children, making the event accessible to families, students and aspiring farmers.
Payments for exhibition spaces can be made via M-Pesa Paybill 522522, Account Number 1169182968, under the account name County Demonstration Operation. The county has also provided an online registration platform for exhibitors wishing to participate in the trade fair.

The Makueni Agricultural Show and Trade Fair is expected to serve as a major platform for knowledge sharing, business networking and investment, while promoting climate-smart agriculture as a pathway to improved food security, increased farmer incomes and sustainable economic growth across Makueni County and beyond.
