The official launch of the Mt. Kenya ASK Show in Nanyuki marked another major milestone in promoting agriculture, trade, and innovation across the Mt. Kenya region. The event, held at the ASK Showground in Laikipia County, was presided over by Agriculture and Livestock Development Principal Secretary Jonathan Mueke alongside Joshua Irungu.

The annual exhibition continues to attract farmers, agribusiness investors, innovators, financial institutions, and development partners from different parts of the country. Participants gathered to showcase modern farming technologies, livestock solutions, irrigation systems, value addition techniques, and climate-smart agricultural practices aimed at improving food production and increasing farmers’ incomes.

Speaking during the launch, leaders emphasized the importance of agriculture as a key driver of Kenya’s economy and a major source of employment for millions of citizens. They noted that platforms such as the ASK Show play a critical role in connecting farmers with new ideas, markets, and technologies that can transform livelihoods and strengthen food security.

The event also provided an opportunity for small-scale farmers and youth innovators to interact with experts and learn about emerging trends in agribusiness. Exhibitors showcased products and services designed to improve productivity while encouraging sustainable farming methods that can withstand changing climatic conditions.
